Welcome to the Future of Manufacturing
At Tom's Automation, we specialize in harnessing the power of Industry 4.0 to revolutionize your manufacturing processes. Industry 4.0 represents the fourth industrial revolution, a technological leap that integrates smart technology, automation, and data-driven decision-making into every aspect of production. Our solutions starts with good OT foundations and are designed to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and provide real-time insights, helping your business stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
Our Expertise
We provide comprehensive Industry 4.0 solutions that include:
- Smart Manufacturing: Advanced automation systems that give the ground to integrate machine learning and AI to optimize production lines, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT): Connect your machinery, sensors, and devices to a central network, enabling seamless communication and real-time monitoring.
- Predictive Maintenance: We can provide tools to utilize data analytics to predict and prevent equipment failures, minimizing downtime and extending the life of your assets.
- Digital Twin Technology: Create virtual replicas of your physical assets to simulate processes, diagnose issues, and plan upgrades without disrupting your operations.
- Big Data Analytics: Leverage data from all your OT/IT systems to gain actionable insights, enhance decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
Everything starts with hardware interfaces like simple hardwired signals, RS232 or RS485/422 serial connections, protocol signal converters and ethernet connectivity. From communication protocols perspective in OT world the mechanisms of OPC are still in use. The OPC stands for Open Platform Communications (initally called OLE for Process Controls in 1990 when SCADA systems were commonly using Microsoft Windows and their COM/DCOM). Throuhg the years standard has became robust and was expandinging functionalities to get to shape of Classic OPC (DA, AE, HDA, Batch, etc). In parallel the OPC UA (Unified Architecture) started to grow to provide more secure, open, plaform independent and future-proof standard. Most typical examples of OPC drivers incorporated into comercial packages (like e.g. IGS, Kepware, SCADA systems) are:
- Modbus Ascii, RTU, TCPIP/Ethernet, Plus, - GE SRTP, GE SNP/SNPX, EGD
- Profibus DP, Simatic TCP/IP, Simatic+, MPI,
- Allen-Bradley Ethernet, DF1,
- Omron HostLink, FINS, NJ,
- Opto 22 Ethernet,
- Beckhoff TwinCAT,
- CoDeSys Ethernet,
- Sinumeric OPC UA,
- MTConnect,
- Matrikon OPC UA,etc.
In addtion to OT standards, we have basic knowledge of protocols to connect operations with IT: like MQTT, HTTP/REST, AlwaysOn. We have helped with HiveMQ setup and can offer other help with message formatting for client agents to support requirements of misc. data modeling (eg. JSON, XML, CSV and other custom models).
Transforming Manufacturing with Advanced Technology
Industry 4.0 is not just about technology; it's about transforming your entire approach to manufacturing. Our solutions empower you to:
- Boost Productivity: Automate repetitive tasks and optimize workflows to increase throughput and reduce operational costs.
- Enhance Flexibility: Quickly adapt to market demands with scalable solutions that allow for mass customization and faster time-to-market.
- Improve Quality: Implement real-time quality control systems that detect defects early and ensure that every product meets the highest standards.
- Reduce Waste: Minimize material waste and energy consumption through intelligent resource management and precise process control.
Showcasing Our Solutions
Examples of our integrated CNC machinery covers discrete production systems with CNC machines like:
- Punching machines (e.g. Trumpf, Amada, EHRT)
- Bending machines (Trumpf, LVD, Amada, Bystronic)
- Milling machines (Haas, Dugard Eagle, Blohm)
- Press brakes (Safan Darley)
- Turning machines (Citizen)
- Moulding machines (Engel, Arburg)
- Grinding (Magerle)
- EDM (+GF+)
and other PLC based ecosystems - like automated warehouse, process heaters or product filling lines based on typical PLC/HMI/SCADA OT systems.
Why Choose Tom's Automation?
- Proven Expertise: Back in 2016 we've started the journey of the Industrial IoT integration. As a part of the international team, we have started deploing early stage of Digital Thread in local factory with discrete production nearby. The goal was to employ data and analytics across the complete product lifecycle. Since then we have took part in number of projects where we were developing PLC code and building connectivity using miscellaneous interfacing options. Electrical skills and "hands on" experience that we have, allowed us to safely figure out the ways of setting machine OT to IT connectivity. In our approach EU Machine Directives and CE markings were never violated.
- Innovative Solutions: The up-to-date technology that we contnously follow and improve, sets the standard for our Industry 4.0 implementation.
- Customer Focused: We prioritize your business goals, providing customized solutions that drive tangible results.
- End-to-End Support: From consultation to implementation and beyond, we support you every step of the way.
